Finally, it feels like winter. In honor of the changing weather, I painted a popular Montreal scene, Place d'Armes, in a blizzard.
I was pretty excited about the way this one turned out. The sharper details of the foreground lamps opposed to the blurred background scene really create a heavy atmosphere. It looks cold! 12x16
Now that I've got some free time, I'm beginning to paint. I'm not very experienced but I'm looking to improve. Who knows? Maybe good things will follow. I'll try to update regularly with new paintings and projects, so keep up!
I know what you're wondering, and yes, you can buy one.
I originally started this blog to document my progression from beginner to, well, wherever this will take me. But now I've got a huge stack of paintings and I don't know what I'm going to do with them! If you just gotta have one, shoot me an offer at josh.schweser@gmail.com. Thanks!
Now the question is...did you stand outside in the snow to paint this ;)
